EDO ERA 1801 JAPANESE BUDDHIST BOOK SET JODO SHINSHU - SANJO WASAN / Woodblock

Description

A set of books "The Sanjo Wasan".
These are the "Jodo Wasan" the "Koso Wasan" and the "Shozomatsu Wasan".
Printed in 1801 (The first year of Kyowa. See fourth photo for the date. It was also a Metal, Rooster year)
They're 219 years old
and
in very good condition. There is no insect damage, ( a common problem with older Japanese books made from handmade washi paper) the string binding is tight and in good condition.
A very good collection for any Buddhist scholar.
